About this plant

Rare in cultivation, a small, deciduous tree about 5m in height, with 7-9 lobed glossy green leaves that are silky-hairy beneath, flushed yellow-red in spring and turn purple-red in autumn. Purplish flowers in late spring are followed by large brown winged fruits
