Deciduous, shrubby tree to about 10m tall, with broad, 3-5 lobed, mid to dark green leaves, to about 10cm long and wide, turning yellow in autumn. Small yellow spring flowers in clusters before or with the new leaves, are followed by brown winged fruits with narrowly parted wings, in autumn
