About this plant

A vigorous, twining, deciduous climber with stout shoots covered in red-brown hairs and broadly ovate, heart-shapped, mid-green, furry leaves. In early summer it bears clusters of usually two to three creamy white flowers followed by furry, egg-shaped brown fruits that are ripe by the first frosts of autumn.
