Allium cupuliferum

A deciduous, bulbous perennial producing broad, strap-shaped mid-green leaves and heads of pink flowers which are initially densely packed, but become lax when the flower stalks lengthen as the flowers mature. These appear on straight stems to 50cm (20in) tall in July and August. The flowers are extremely attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, making the plant a wonderful addition to a wildlife garden.
