About this plant

A short-lived, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial to 80cm, with bluish-green leaves divided into rounded leaflets. Nodding, long-spurred flowers with orange-red outer petals and spurs, yellow inner petals and protruding yellow stamens, appear from early summer to autumn. Can flower in its first year from seed

Pruning

Propagate by seed; home-saved seed may not come true. Established plants can also be propagated by division in spring, but they dislike root disturbance and will be slow to recover
