A spreading, deciduous thorny shrub to 1.5m in height, with dark green, rounded, glossy leaves. The clusters of single, pale yellow-green, cup-shaped flowers are produced in spring on bare branches, followed, in autumn, by fragrant yellow fruits that are ideal for making into quince jelly
