clematis [Chelsea]

A very compact climber up to 1m high, with green leaves, and flowers, 8-10cm across, composed of six to eight sepals which on the inside are white tinged with pale violet-blue and with pale green midveins, and on the outside are white with green bars, and pale greenish yellow stamens, from early summer to autumn; many clematis are visited by bees for pollen, and some also provide nectar
