kousa 'Big Apple'

A vigorous shrub or small tree to 4m in height. Large, leathery, opposite leaves are dull dark green. Prominent, large petal-like bracts up to 14cm diameter form a mass of white. Huge edible red fruits can be 4cm across, hence the name.
