Cornus kousa 'Ed Mezitt'

A large deciduous shrub or small tree to 5m in height. New branches are purple, young leaves purple until flowering, changing to green. Slender stellate bracts start greenish and slightly pink and lighten to pure white, surrounding a small green flowerhead, in June. These are followed by strawberry like fruits in late summer.
