Corylus avellana 'Heterophylla'

A deciduous, medium shrub to about 6m with green leaves which are heavily dissected between the veins creating much less shade. In autumn they turn pale yellow before falling. Many yellow catkins form in the winter and open early in the spring, then develop into a crop of large edible nuts loved by squirrels.
