Imperati's crocus 'De Jager'

'De Jager' is a cormous perennial 10cm high with tufted, shiny dark green leaves with a central silvery-white stripe, and scented flowers, 3-4.5cm long, rich violet-purple inside and pale creamy brown with violet stripes outside, with orange stigmas and stamens, from late winter to early spring; crocuses are a good source of pollen for honeybees early in the season
