Cultivation

Grow in moist but well-drained, humus rich soil. Provide shelter from cold, drying winds. See hydrangea cultivation

Pruning group 1 or pruning group 6. Blooms on new wood, so can be cut back in autumn or spring. For larger flower heads, cut back previous season's growth to within a few buds of the woody framework in early spring
