About this plant

I. pendula is an upright, deciduous shrub, to 3m, with arching branches bearing blue-green leaves, up to 15cm long, each with 15 or 17 leaflets. The wisteria-like flowers are rosy-purple, in hanging sprays, up to 25cm long, produced from mid-summer to autumn
