About this plant

A clump-forming, compact perennial with narrow, sword-shaped mid-green leaves. In summer it bears fragrant, multi-coloured flowers with lavender-blue styles, violet standard petals and prominently veined deep-purple/brown falls that are suffused with golden-yellow.

Grow in reliably damp soil that is rich in organic matter in a sun or partial shade. Can be grown as a marginal plant in ponds and along streamsides.
