Neilreich's hairy beard of Jupiter

J. hirta var. neilreichii is an evergreen, mat-forming perennial to 15cm tall with small rosettes of narrow, green leaves tipped and often suffused red. After several years, a stem bearing pale yellow flowers may be produced in summer, following which the individual rosette dies off
