About this plant
A mid-season, dual-purpose apple with speckled, dark red skin and juicy, quite sharp, dark red flesh which retains its shape and colour when cooked or dried. Bears deep pink flowers in spring, cropping in early autumn, with fruit storing for a few weeks. Requires a group 3, 4 or 5 pollinator

Cultivation
Prefers deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. May require fruit thinning to improve fruit size and quality. See apple cultivation
