Oncidium Keighleyensis gx

A small to medium-sized, epiphytic orchid with upright, evergreen, leathery leaves. New growth appears from the swollen stem base - pseudobulb, which serves as a storage organ for water and nutrients. They are oval shaped, slightly compressed at the top, carrying one or two apical leaves. The plant typically flowers throughout the year, on 10-30cm long, arching stems. New flowering stems arise from the axils of the leafed sheaths wrapped around young, mature pseudobulbs. Star-shaped flowers are bright red, or pink. Petals and sepals may carry orange pattern. The centre of the flower is usually white, with a yellow or orange spot on the centre of the lip.
