About this plant

An upright, bushy, clump-forming, semi-evergreen perennial to 60cm with large, elongated, glossy, heart-shaped, mid- to dark green leaves turning bronzy-red in winter. Dark, upright stems produce sprays of light purple, bell-shaped flowers with pointed lobes marked with white and dark purple

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. In cold areas, protect plant over winter with a dry mulch. See penstemon cultivation
