An evergreen shrub to around 2m high, with an open, upright habit and elliptic, glossy dark green leaves up to 17cm long. Produces compact clusters of 11-16 scented, funnel-shaped, pale purple flowers, with dense dark red speckles on the upper petals, in late spring
