Dalhousie's rhododendron

R. dalhousieae is an evergreen shrub up to 3m high, sometimes growing epiphytically in the wild, with bristly young shoots, and deeply-veined green leaves, up to 17cm long, with scales beneath. In mid to late spring it produces very fragrant funnel-shaped, creamy-white flowers, about 13cm long; some plants with prominent candy-red stripes down the flower length
