Rhododendron primuliflorum

An evergreen shrub with a twiggy, branching habit, usually up to about 1.2m high, though this species can reach 2.5m. Leaves are small, aromatic and glossy dark green, with overlapping yellow-brown scales on the undersides. Flowers are small and tubular, opening to funnel-shaped at the ends, and usually white with a yellow tube, or occasionally rose pink. Flowers are produced in mid to late spring
