An evergreen shrub to about 1.2m high, with elliptic, dark green leaves with a distinctive deep red colouring on the undersides. New growth is flushed bronze. Produces rounded clusters of broadly funnel-shaped, pale pink flowers with rose pink edges, in mid to late spring
