There are both thorny and thornless cultivars available with long arching canes 'Oregon Thornless' is a deciduous shrub with long, thornless canes to 2.5m in height and dark green lobed, pinnate leaves from spring to autumn. Bears 5-petalled white flowers in summer followed by dark blackberries in late summer
