A tall, upright, clump-forming, deciduous herbaceous perennial to around 180-200cm, with dark green leaves and slim spikes of maroon-red flowers which appear from summer through to autumn. Flowers slightly later than other cultivars and has a longer flowering period from around August, throughout the autumn
