About this plant

A large-flowered cultivar forming a loose clump of strap-shaped leaves. Upright stems bear bicoloured flowers; the upper petals white and the lowers petals heavily suffused and veined with pink.

Cultivation

Grow as a houseplant in loamless potting compost on an east or west-facing windowsill, or grow in a temperate or warm greenhouse in bright filtered light with shade from hot sun. Water freely in growth (allowing the compost to become quite dry between waterings) and feed fortnightly with a high potassium fertiliser. See Streptocarpus for further information
