A woody, evergreen, twining climber about 7-9m in height, with narrow, glossy, grey-green to mid-green leaves, 8cm long with silvery veins, turning bronze-purple in winter, and sweetly-scented, creamy-white flowers in mid and late summer that fade to pale yellow with age
